Camp Loads of Fun
Camp Loads of Fun is a traditional day camp, providing the fun and camaraderie of a neighborhood full of kids! Campers will enjoy themed weeks, field games, arts & crafts, swimming, and special reading programs at the Library. Located at the Johnson Recreation Center, campers will have the opportunity to enjoy other programs offered in the same location, including swim lessons, soccer camp, or tennis camp.
Rek & Trek Adventure Camp
Rek & Trek Adventure Camp is an adventure-based day camp, providing outdoor adventures all summer long! Campers are given a wonderful opportunity to experience the great outdoors as they are taken throughout the Killington region and beyond to witness all the natural beauty that Vermont has to offer through hikes, swimming holes, and special adventures. Kids will learn to look within themselves to meet the challenges they encounter throughout the camp week.
Circus For All Camp
At Circus For All, your child will learn the art of juggling, spinning plates, devil sticks, human pyramids, and more! Children will gain encouragement in order to attain goals and reach personal excellenve at their own pace. They will develop skills in concentration, persistence, patience and confidence in a fun and positive environment.
Challenger Soccer Camp
British Soccer Camps provide young players with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily World Cup Tournament. Equally important, the Challenger coaching staff provides your child with lessons in self-discipline, good sportsmanship and respect for others and for the game. Campers will enjoy a daily program of Camp break activities and an end of camp graduation party!
"Top Spin" Tennis Camp
Introduce your child to the enjoyable and exciting game of tennis with this fun-filled week of games that will help your youngster learn the fundamentals of tennis. Our instructor, Gary Thompson breaks down each drill to help students understand the proper technique required for tennis.
Killington Sharks Summer Swim Team
The summer swim team is designed for youth interested in competitive swimming. Swim Team practices 5 days per week at the Johnson Recreation Center Pool and competes in several meets throughout the summer, including a District Meet and a State Meet. Check out the Killington Sharks on Facebook.
Join the coolest swim lessons at the Johnson Recreation Center Pool. All of the swim instructors are certified by the American Red Cross and are trained in life saving. Swim classes are held Monday - Friday, in 2 week sessions. Each lesson is 30 minutes long and is held rain or shine!
Killington Chili Cook-Off
The 1st Annual Killington Chili Cook-Off is sure to produce the best tasting chili in town! Join the competition and bring your finest chili to compete for the title of best chili in Killington, or stop by the Cook-Off to taste and judge the competitor's creations. To register as a competitor, please head to www.KillingtonRec.com. Tasting tickets will be available for purchase at the event via cash only.
River Road Summer Concert Series
Head to the Sherburne Memorial Library for this exciting summer concert series on Thursdays at 6 pm. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to relax in the cool summer nights, while enjoying a variety of free musical entertainment.
4th of July Celebration
The 4th of July Celebration and Fireman's BBQ has become one of the most popular summer events in Killington! Beginning with the parade down River Road in the morning and ending with a unique fireworks show, you'll be sure to find something exciting to do all day.
Bring your favorite pool float down to the Johnson Recreation Center Pool on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm and enjoy a relaxing evening watching a movie while floating in the pool. Guests are welcome to bring food and non-alocholic refreshments to enjoy before the movie.
Dream Big-Read! Summer Reading Program
Join the Library staff for a summer reading program on Wednesdays at 1 pm. Themes will include nighttime and nocturnal animals, dreaming and sleep, flying and space.
Free Monthly Matinee
Stop by the Sherburne Memorial Library on River Road in Killington for a free Monday Matinee at 2 pm on the first Monday of every month. Check out the library's events page for what's playing next!
