Killington: Arriving & Departing
Killington's central Vermont location makes it easily accessible by car, air or train. By car, just 5 hours from New York City and 3 hours from Boston, with easy access to Burlington and Albany International
airports, Rutland Regional airport, and AMTRAK in nearby Rutland.
Vermont's only International Airport is located in Burlington, Vermont. Other neighboring airports include Albany Airport (ALB), Boston Logan Airport (BOS), Bradley, CT Airport (BDL), New York City (NYC), and Southern Vermont Regional Airport (RUT).
Round trip shuttle bus & taxi service is available from these airports to Killington by reservation. More information can be found under the Getting Here link "taxi & shuttle service." However, if you are flying into Boston, MA; Cape Air connects Boston to Rutland. Call 866-cape-air or visit www.capeair.com to schedule this flight.
Arriving by train is also easy. The Rutland Amtrak station is located in downtown Rutland next to Walmart, Price Chopper and "The Bus" station. Amtrak provides the Ethan Allen Express which runs from Penn Station, New York to Rutland, Vermont. The Express takes you to all the outdoor adventures of upstate New York and Vermont. The Marble Valley Regional Transit District provides provides safe, reliable transportation between Rutland City and the Killington region on a year-round basis.The shuttle bus operates seven days a week from early morning to late evening. The Bus is your passport to mountain adventure, dinning, movies, shopping and area events. On Saturdays, Holidays & Peak Weeks the KILLINGTON ROAD NIGHT SHUTTLE is a safe, reliable and accessible. This shuttle operates from 5:30 p.m. -2:00 a.m. and will stop on Killington Road stops and East Mountain Road stops. Visit http://www.thebus.com/routes/rkc.htm for route schedules. Ski and Snowboard equipment welcome.
The Bus leaves the MVRTC (Marble Valley Regional Transit Center) 15 minutes past each hour (excluding 12:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.). The Bus will deviate up to 1/4 mile off route upon request. To request a deviation, call a day in advance to MVRTD at 802-773-3244 x117 or ask the bus driver to assist you. Fares range between .50$- $2.00, Children under 6 ride free with Adult.
