Our History
Chartered in 1761, the Town of Killington maintains the character, charm and vibrancy that has made it a favorite destination for generations. Named for the Mountain that towers above the town, Killington later took the name Sherburne before residents voted to restore the name Killington.
Visitor Information
Visitors will find all the information they need for their Killington vacation at the Killington Chamber of Commerce. Conveniently located on Route 4 next to the Post Office, just west of the Killington access road, the Visitor Center has information on events and activities, places to stay, dine and enjoy all the Killington region has to offer. Getting Here
By plane, train or automobile, Killington is easily accessible from wherever you are. The Rutland Regional Airport is just a short, easy drive from Killington. The airport’s primary commercial carrier, Cape Air, connects with Jet Blue hubs and provides daily flights direct to Boston.
